Part of the inspiration of becoming self-employed and starting Bonschelle was the experience of cancer within my family. The experience can make you reasess your life, your values, what means most to you, and the time you have here. The support that is provided by cancer charities is invaluable. So at Bonschelle we want to help support those support systems which help so many women get through a difficult time. Our personal choice has been to help support Breast Cancer Care in the UK due to our personal experience with them. Bonschelle is therefore committed to donating 20% of net profit on jewellery product sales to Breast Cancer Care (Registered charity in England and Wales 1017658). There's no small print to our donation policy - when we say 20% we mean 20%. Your purchases from Bonschelle can help fund the important patient support they give which they describe as follows on their 'Who we are' information page :
- provide information and offer emotional and practical support
- bring people affected by breast cancer together
- campaign for improvement in standards of support and care
- promote the importance of early detection.

Going through cancer diagnosis and treatment can be an overwhelming, confusing and challenging time, so having a resource where you can communicate with others who have been or who are in the same situation, talk to professionals, get up-to-date information about the illness, treatment and well-being through and after, can do an awful lot to help someone.
